Building upon the great lineup of panels that were part of the 2012 show, we plan to grow the programming schedule in 2013. Check back here in the months to come for all the details on our exciting plans for the evolving 2013 show.

2012 Programming

Louisville Cartoonist Society Panel (11:00 - 12:00) - Every city has its heroes and Louisville is no exception! Come check out the Louisville Cartoonist Society as they explain their goal of creating comics, sharing ideas, and banding together to promote each others' work! Also, find out what it takes to create your own comics!

Small Press Showcase (12:30 - 1:30) - Comic books aren't just published by the big companies; they're made by your friends and neighbors! Meet some of the folks that love comics so much that they write, draw, color, letter, and publish their own comics. Join the creators behind Assailant Comics, Dream in Color Entertainment, Eureka! Comics Lab, No Gods, and Pinwheel Press to learn about the comics they create and what it takes to do it yourself!

The Comic Shop in the Digital Age (2:00 - 3:00) - Running a comic book store is no easy task! There are the trials and tribulations of managing a small business, plus having to adjust to the constant changes of the comic book industry. Between online ordering and digital distribution, how does your local comic book shop manage to survive? Find out when Louisville area comic shop owners and workers come together for an exciting discussion!

News & Views Panel (3:30 - 4:30) - What are the hottest topics in comic book industry? How will technology impact comics in the coming year? Find out when writers and podcaster from Comic Related, Completely Comics, and Cultural Wormhole get together for a fun, informative, and opinionated round table discussion!

U Cre-8 Comics with Victor Dandridge (12:00 - 1:00 & 2:00 - 3:00) - The U Cre-8 Comics line is an innovative approach to combining comics and the classroom. With a mix of both literary and visual arts instruction, the U Cre-8 line builds an appreciation for creative expression as well as an interest in reading. The Character Crafter Workbook has students use an application process to make their own comic creations from the ground up, much in the same characters are created in the comic book industry.

Silent Auction (All Day) - Bid on great items from creators and vendors with proceeds benefitting Kosair Charities

Auction (3:30 - 4:00) - Some of our more sought after items will go up for sale on the main stage at 3:30!

Costume Contest (4:00 - 5:00) - See some of the best cosplay in Louisville! Registration takes place all day at the Show Services table. Grand Prize of $300!
